Those of you who know me well know that I like to read… a lot. All types of books and magazines and blogs.
I was perusing the Canadian Homemakers magazine (June 2010) and came across this:
“3 reasons to love your thighs by Janet Rowe
Carbs going straight to your hips? Great! Scientists in the U.K. say a big behind is so protective against heart troubles and diabetes that they envision doctors one day helping people deliberately redistribute fat from their waists to their derrieres. The type of fat that collects on the thighs and bum burns slowly (a fact dieters know well), but that also means it doesn’t release inflmmatory chemicals the way stomach fat does. Instead, it produces appetite- and metabolism-regulating hormones.”
hhuummmm… I will appreciate my derriere… well, at least for a few minutes…
