Cross Canada Blog Hop – October Journal

Welcome to our October Cross Canada Blog Hop! This month our project is the My Creations Canvas Journal. This product can be found on page 132 of the Current Idea Book, purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant for only $8.95.

In this hop, you will see how our Crafty Canadian Consultants have decorated their Canvas Journals! We hope you enjoy our blog hop today!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle S in Nova Scotia at http://mycreationswithmichelle.blogspot.ca. If you came from Kathy Skipper of It’s a Girl Thing – http://kathy-itsagirlthing.blogspot.ca  then you are in the right place!

I also used the following Close to My Heart products to create this beautiful, yet simple journal:

Canvas Alphabet – Page 130 $6.95
Slate Mini-Medley – Page 126 $5.95
Cottage Assortment Embellishments – Page 128 $5.95
Pearl Opaques Adhesive Gems – Page 127 $2.95
Colonial White Rosette Ribbon – Page 124 $7.95
When you receive your Canvas Journal it is a natural, colonial white color. To color the journal, I used our Ruby re-inker (Page 9; 4.25) and Create-a-Shade Pearl Paint (Page 133; $2.95) in our Spray Pen (Page 133; $3.95 for 3 – a great deal – to make your own custom color spray mists!) and added water. I shook it to mix the ingredient and then sprayed the canvas journal on top of old newspapers. As you can see, it creates a beautiful shimmery color!
Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Michelle S. of My Creations with Michelle at http://mycreationsw

Thanks for hopping along with us – we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own version of My Creations Canvas Journal. Join us again on November 5th when we showcase a series of 3 Christmas Cards made from one of exclusive lines of My Reflections Paper Packs.

Enjoy!
